How to Download Tradebook from
Zerodha, Groww & Angel One (2024)
Before you can calculate your capital gains tax, you need your tradebook — a CSV file of all your stock transactions for the financial year. Here's exactly where to find it in each broker's platform.
Zerodha (Kite)
- 1 Log in to console.zerodha.com
- 2 Go to Reports → Tradebook
- 3 Select the financial year (e.g. FY 2023-24: April 2023 to March 2024)
- 4 Click Download CSV
- 5 Upload the downloaded file to LotSight
Groww
- 6 Log in to groww.in → tap your profile icon
- 7 Go to Reports → P&L Statement
- 8 Select financial year range
- 9 Click Download (CSV format)
- 10 Upload to LotSight — select "Groww" as broker
Angel One (Angel Broking)
- 11 Log in to smartapi.angelbroking.com or the Angel One app
- 12 Navigate to Reports → Trade Book
- 13 Set the date range for the full financial year
- 14 Select Export → CSV
- 15 Upload to LotSight — select "Angel One" as broker
Upstox
- 16 Log in to upstox.com
- 17 Go to Reports → Ledger / Tradebook
- 18 Choose the FY date range
- 19 Click Download → CSV
- 20 Upload to LotSight — select "Upstox" as broker
Tips for a clean upload
- Always download the full financial year (April 1 to March 31)
- If you traded across multiple financial years, download each FY separately
- Don't modify the CSV — LotSight reads the broker's exact format
- For multiple demat accounts, upload each separately — LotSight will merge them
- If you have both NSE and BSE trades, they will be in the same file from most brokers
